All that remains today of Henry’s Nonsuch Palace which was his greatest dream and building accomplishment. It was called Nonsuch since Henry planned for their to be Nonsuch place like it and this was true for as long as it was with us, it was eventually pulled down and disassembled in 1682 when Charles II’s mistress sold the pieces of it to pay off her gambling debts.
What do you think? There has been some discussion that Nonsuch will attempt to be recreated upon it’s original place. Should builders even attempt such a thing or is it a lost cause? Will they be able to recreate the original grandness of Nonsuch?that cost 104 million (in today’s money) to build

Nonsuch Palace. I’ve visited it before, in-fact I created it. Drawn up on blue-prints and it was my greatest glory to see it come to life, slowly but surely. It is all any King could ever want in a Palace, combining Greek Architecture and Renaissance styles.
Nonsuch was revolutionary, unlike other palaces it was built on completely new ground surrounded by hundreds of acres of hunting and cost 104 million of today’s money to complete.
After my death, it was passed down through the Tudor lineage before finally landing upon Mary who sold it in 1556 to Henry Fitzalan, 12th earl of Arunde who completed the structure who completed it and gave it to his son. It fell into the hands of Charles II and then to his mistress Barbara who tore down Nonsuch in all of it’s grandness to settle gambling debts.
Can you imagine? My nonsuch palace being sold for a few bad games of Texas hold ‘em? Try strip poker, it’s much cheaper and does not cause you to rip down MY grand palace!

Of-course they will be as witty as I can manage or feel that day but I will answer these questions tactfully and with an education of which I speak. I also will post pictures, stories or topics or even whatever I feel like posting that day.
